Andrea Connolly, B.Sc., CACII

Andrea has been in recovery since March 29, 2010. She graduated from UNG with her BSc. in Human Services. She is a Certified Addiction Counselor level 2 and an Education Provider through GACA, and is working toward becoming a Clinical Supervisor in the future. She is a board member for GARR, assisting other programs across the state to practice with ethical standards. She is a former drug court counselor and has been working in the field for 10 years.
Andrea enjoys being a mother and grandmother, and spending time with friends. She believes that women are often broken after a life in addiction, arriving with trauma or guilt, and need compassion and patience to find lasting recovery.
Katie Dunagan, C.A.R.E.S, CPS-AD
Case Manager/Group Facilitator
Katie found her purpose helping others in recovery after she graduated from Hall Co. Drug Court in March 2013. She obtained a bachelor's degree with a major in psychology and minor in sociology with a focus on addiction. She is trained in Trauma Informed Care and WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan). She believes a strong foundation begins with willingness and confidence. Her goal is to show people in recovery their value and get them to believe in themselves. She loves baking, cooking and animals, especially her 5 cats.

Elaine Johnson,M.S., CADC II
Counselor
Elaine has been around addiction her entire life. This led her to a calling to help those struggling with substance use and addictive behaviors. She obtained a BS in Christian Counseling with an emphasis on substance use and addiction, then a MS in Addiction Counseling. These degrees were followed by various certifications, and she has been working in the field for the last 8 years.
Elaine enjoys being very active in her church and spending time with her family. She believes that a person who is struggling with addiction and recovery need both spiritual guidance and people who support them, and she strives to provide both.
Rachel (Rae) Ackland
Office Support Staff
Rae has been in recovery since October 13, 2023. She graduated A Better Way Recovery and has since made it her goal to help the recovery community. She is working on becoming a Certified Addiction Counselor level 1.
Rae enjoys spending time with her family, and being of service to others.
